BM Italia developed both the design and the complete layout of the Carrefour Gourmet supermarket located in Milan's central Corso Italia.
Design and organisation of supermarket spaces
The design of a supermarket is not only limited to the evaluation of the best display solution of the products on the shelves, but also to the careful evaluation of the distribution and organisation aspect of the spaces. In order to optimise the design, BM Italia has considered several factors: the technical, marketing, social, and psychological aspects. Firstly, BM Italia has identified the reference regulations for the distribution of spaces and the consequent different types of organisation.

The combination of shelving, displays and checkout counters finally resulted in a modern, innovative supermarket able to envelop the customer in warm and harmonious atmospheres.
