The initiative is part of the "BM Italia opens its doors to students" project, designed to introduce young people to the world of work and give them hands-on experience in a company.
On March 24, 2026, the third-year students in the Mechanics and Energy programs at the Enea Mattei Technical Institute in Sondrio entered BM Italia's doors for a special day of orientation and discovery of the world of manufacturing.
A guided tour of design and production
Accompanied by teachers Domenico Longobardi, Gregorio Piccoli, and Giampiero dell'Orto, the students explored the various company departments and understood how a turnkey project is conceived and developed.
From the first contact with the client, to design, from order management to production, and finally to final logistics, the students observed every phase of the process and understood the importance of collaboration between different professional figures.
"Opening our doors to students means investing in the future and creating a direct dialogue between school and business. We want to offer students the opportunity to experience firsthand what it means to work in a structured and dynamic manufacturing environment," explains BM Italia.
Direct Contact with Reality
During the visit, the students heard firsthand from company employees, discovering how their daily commitment contributes to the success of the projects. The experience allowed them to transform the theory learned in school into concrete reality.
The presentation of projects related to large catering facilities sparked particular enthusiasm, with the opportunity to tour the workshop dedicated to the maintenance and repair of professional equipment.
"Experiences like this are essential for guiding young people in their future choices. Direct contact with the company allows us to turn theory into reality" the organizers emphasized.
A Bridge Between School and Work
For Randstad Sondrio, the role is clear: to create concrete connections between students and businesses.
"Randstad supports companies not only in the search and selection of personnel, but also in the development of training and extracurricular programs for young people. Initiatives like this allow students to orient themselves and businesses to identify the talents of the future," comments Daniela Ometti.
BM Italia aims to establish initial contact with the professionals of tomorrow, also promoting potential internships and future collaborations.
Special thanks
BM Italia thanks Randstad Sondrio, especially Daniela Ometti, and Professor Tarcisio Bedogné, coordinator of the Enea Mattei Technical Institute in Sondrio, for their support in organizing the meeting.
This initiative represents a concrete step towards strengthening the connection between the company, the school, and the local community, helping to develop a pool of young talent ready to enter the world of work.
