The first event of 2026 will take place on April 10 in Morbegno, at the Auditorium Sant’Antonio, and will feature architect Cino Zucchi, a leading figure in both the national and international architectural landscape. The event will be introduced by architect Carlo Ezechieli.

Event Topic

The talk, titled “Copycat_ Empathy and Envy as Form-Makers”, offers a reflection on the concept of originality in contemporary architectural design.

Drawing from the experience of the installation presented at the 13th Venice Architecture Biennale, Cino Zucchi explores the project as the outcome of a complex cultural process, developed through relationships with the existing context. Within this framework, conscious imitation is reconsidered as a design tool capable of generating value through engagement with established models and references.

Empathy—understood as the ability to interpret and integrate the qualities of a place—and envy—seen as a critical stimulus for reinterpretation—are identified as active components in shaping architectural form.

The event will take place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with free admission subject to availability, and is open to both members of the Order of Architects and the general public.

For professionals, 2 CPD credits are available free of charge, with registration via the CNAPPC portal required by 12:00 PM on April 8, 2026.
