Recognition of Historic and Quality Accommodation Facilities in Lombardy

Applications open from June 16, 2025

The Lombardy Region has launched the call for applications for the Recognition of Historic and Quality Accommodation Facilities – 2025 Edition, an initiative aimed at enhancing establishments that represent a significant testimony to Lombardy’s history, identity, and hospitality, promoting their quality and connection with the local territory.

Interested businesses can submit their applications from 3:00 PM on June 16, 2025, until 3:00 PM on November 30, 2025, exclusively through the regional platform:

Applications can be submitted directly by the business or through Municipalities, Provinces, Chambers of Commerce, or Trade Associations, following prior registration as a Proposing Entity on the platform.

Eligible Applicants

Applications can be submitted by:

• Accommodation businesses that currently meet or will meet by 2025 the requirements established by DGR n. 1492/2023;

Required Documentation

Applications must include the following attachments:

• map extract and floor plan of the property;

• historical documentation of the business showing the start date, generational transitions, and continuity of management;

• description of the facility and a summary of the company’s history;

• information on environmental sustainability, accessibility, and territorial enhancement initiatives;

• at least 5 photographs (2 exterior, 3 interior) and additional images relating to sustainability/accessibility;

• any environmental certifications.

The application must be completed online, digitally signed, and submitted via the “Submit Application” button, which will generate a protocol number.

Applications are accepted only online through the regional platform:

No other submission methods, either online or on paper, will be considered.

Evaluation and Awarding of Recognition

The competent Regional Directorate will review the documentation, may carry out inspections at the facilities, and will publish the list of recognized structures on the official regional website.

Recognized facilities will receive an official recognition plaque.

The Region, also through Provinces and the Metropolitan City of Milan, may conduct periodic checks to verify the maintenance of requirements. In case of irregularities, the recognition may be revoked.
